Biology Collection # 2

Within the Lion glycogen the main form of carbohydrate storage occurs primarily in the liver and muscle tissue. It is readily converted to glucose as needed by the body to satisfy its energy needs.
The beetle an insects of the order Coleoptera, having biting mouthparts and forewings modified to form horny coverings that protect the underlying pair of hind wings when at rest.

Within the plant cellulose a complex carbohydrate that is composed of glucose units, forms the main parts of the cell wall in most plants.

Parenchyma cells occur at the root or stem of a plant, the primary tissue of higher plants, composed of thin-walled cells and forming the greater part of leaves, roots, the pulp of fruit, and the pith of stems.

Tortoise's exoskeleton shell provides protection and support for the organism.

This is a Deciduous leaf, a leaf that falls of the tree and change color due to change in the season.

This plants is an autotroph, synthesizing its own food from inorganic substances, using light or chemical energy.

This Rum beverage, is an example of frementation of the enzymes convert sugar cane molasses into alcoholic drink

Fish are examples of ectotherm organism, Fish can move deeper in the water too cool down and swim higher when they need more warmth. By doing this, the fish is able to regulate its body temperature.

Fish are organism with a two chambered heart, two-chambered organ composed of one atrium and one ventricle. Blood is pumped from the ventricle through the conus arteriosus to the gills. At the gills, the blood receives oxygen and gets rid of carbon dioxide. Blood then moves on to the organs of the body, where nutrients, gases, and wastes are exchanged.
